Breathing for relaxing the body-mind
Have you ever tried left nostril breathing? Left nostril breathing supports nervous system regulation by reducing sympathetic nervous system arousal, and restoring balance. Benefits including calmness, clarity, and empathy. It can also promote restful sleep.

Inviting you to block the airflow through your right nostril by gently placing pressure on your right nostril using your right pointer finger.
With a long, slow, deep breath, gently inhale through your left nostril. Then, exhale long, slowly and completely, again through the left nostril.
Breathing in through the left nostril, breathing out through the left nostril.
Inviting you to continue this breathing pattern for 2 minutes. In through the left nostril, out through the left nostril.
Relax your body as you breath. Feeling the breath flow in a natural way. You may be aware of cool air entering the nose, and slightly warmer air exiting the nose.
Welcoming new energy into your body with each inhalation. And with each exhalation, allowing the release of tension stress, and dis-ease.
Complete the exercise with an exhalation through the left nostril, allow your hand to release, and return to regular breathing through both nostrils.
